NMPA released the New China GMPC “The Inspection Key Points and Judging Principals of Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics”
Since the implementation of CSAR in 2021, China NMPA has gradually announced and released other supplementary regulations and guidelines, which has brought huge shock to the cosmetics industry, but at the same time, it also requires that relevant cosmetics stakeholders such as cosmetics registrants/notifier and manufacturers make strict demands on themselves. Achieving high quality development of the industry.
On Oct. 25th, #NMPA released the “The Inspection Key Points and Judging Principals of # Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics”, and take effect on Dec.1st. All the local MPA will follow this Principals and execute unannounced inspection to the cosmetics enterprises.
The most significant difference between this new Principals and the previous one is that, it sets inspection points separately to the cosmetics registrants/notifiers, entrusted production enterprises, and #cosmetics registrants/notifiers entrusting for production. The entrusting party shall, on the basis of the entrusted manufacturer's completion of product release, ensure that the products have passed the inspection, and the relevant production and quality activity records have been reviewed and approved before the product release on the market. This means that cosmetics production will not only be the responsibility of the manufacturer, but also the entrusting party.
