A noval food ingredient declared by OCI was successfully approved
The National Health Commission issued Announcement No. 5 of 2021 on April 25, 2021, regarding the development of 4 new food ingredients including β-1,3/α-1,3-glucan and 2 new varieties of food additives including protease. The safety assessment materials were reviewed and passed. Among them, a noval food raw material declared by our company was sorted and analyzed in the early stage, and finally successfully approved after the completion of the risk assessment report and the promotion of the project.
This noval food ingredient is made from the roots of artificially planted Larix olgensis , and undergoes peeling and tearing treatments for extraction, concentration, alcohol precipitation, supernatant concentration, extraction, re-concentration, crystallization, centrifugal separation, and freeze-vacuum drying , crushing and sieving. Range of use and maximum usage: beverages (20 mg/L), fermented milk and flavored fermented milk (20 mg/kg), cocoa products, chocolate and chocolate products (70 mg/kg),which is not suitable for infants, children (14 years and younger),pregnant women and lactating women,and labels and instructions should indicate that they are not suitable for people.
