In order to study the effects of eating plant meat, a scientific research team in the United States organized 36 people and divided them into two groups. One group ate animal meat for 16 weeks, and the other group ate plant meat for 16 weeks. The results of the study were expressed by the levels of blood pressure, cholesterol and weight.

The results showed that blood pressure level dropped by 10% in three-quarters of the people who ate plant meat. At the same time, their cholesterol level also dropped. Two thirds of them lost weight, and one of them lost almost 5kg.

As a result, the blood pressure and cholesterol of vegetarians are lower than those of carnivores, which means vegetarians are more healthy than carnivores. Compared with the same quality of plant meat and animal meat, the calorie of plant meat is much lower than that of plant meat, which leads to weight loss.

The research showed eating plant meat is good for human body, although plant meat may not taste as delicious as animal meat. The thing we need to pay attention to when we use plant meat is that if you want to keep weight, you need to eat more plant meat. In addition, different kinds of protein components are different (chicken, soybean, fish, etc.). For example, if you want to take 50 grams of protein every day, you need to eat 80 grams plant meat, so as to meet your daily protein needs.

How is plant meat produced?

There are two ways to produce plant meat. One is to extract amino acids, lipids, minerals and water from plants, and then compress them into a kind of meat of which taste and texture are similar to animal meat. Another way is to extract animal cells and culture them in a culture dish. Through nutrient solution, they can grow continuously and finally form meat pieces.

As a new kind of food, plant meat is also faced with regulatory issues. The lack of regulations and standards makes the supervision of plant meat difficult. AT present, plant meat companies call for the establishment of national standards as soon as possible.
